Merriam-Webster defines this as the “freedom of humans to make choices that are not determined by prior causes or by divine intervention”.
I was telling someone recently how my Dad would always give us the freedom to choose. I grew up with a pretty good understanding of choices and consequences. There is a saying “Where your freedom ends, mine begins”, this resonates with me, and it should resonate with you too.
Or what do you think about Freewill?
My Mom would never force you to eat a meal you did not want, as long as you can prepare it and clean up after yourself, you should go for it. My Dad did try to persuade me to go to Babcock University then but I didn’t want to be in what we called a “post-secondary boarding school” again.
I got a home Maths Teacher for Bree sometime ago and after the first few classes, he gave feedback saying “Ma, you seem to have given your daughter so much freewill”. Where we come from, this is of course mostly not seen as a good thing and I can understand why. But, I like to think children are not properties just like we females are not anyone’s property either. We do not have to agree on this, but it is what it is.
